Help us to help you find your training

Online training, no matter how effective or engrossing, isn't much use if you can't find what you're looking for. That's why we're spending a lot of time thinking about the best ways to help you, our users, get to our courses. We want to make it easy and intuitive to browse and find the courses that matter most to you.

Help us out - leave a comment or take a survey

You find courses now through the "Course List," by picking one of 20 categories and seeing all the matching courses underneath. This worked well for a while. But, as our course list grows, so does the need for other ways to find the training most important to you.

So, we need your help. We want to know the criteria you'd use most often to find courses on the site.

Here are some of the items we're thinking about:

  • Training format (self-directed module, Webinar, group seminar, etc.)
  • Price
  • Role (courses for copy editors, courses for bloggers, etc.)
  • Training category (reporting, leadership, etc.)
  • Suggested courses (we recommend courses based on what you and other users sign up for)

Which of these would you find most helpful in finding courses? Are there any we're forgetting?

Comment on this post with your feedback.

Or, if you're the survey-taking type, we've whipped up a BRIEF (three-question) questionnaire. The survey gives you a chance to rank-order the criteria.

Either way you choose to respond, thank you. We want to make the next NewsU as easy and fun to use as possible. And your feedback now will help make that happen.
